Artist Julie Bell's Golden Lover Painting Interpreted as a Fine Statue

Julie Bell is one of the most prolific of fantasy artists, depicting both male and female figures in exquisite detail and sensuality. One of her most famous from 1992 is Golden Lover (left), which shows a muscularly-defined naked woman entranced while embraced by a golden serpent. The artwork has been reinterpreted as a sculpture by Shin Tanave.

Tanave's version (top) is more feminine than what's depicted in the painting, with a lighter skin and less definition of the musculature of the woman.
